Welcome to Divine Souls Blog!

It's taken me a long time to actually get around to writing my first blog post for Divine Soul, those of you that have worked with me or subscribe to my emails know how much I love writing, so I thought - what are you waiting for Kristy-lee?! And here we are, first blog post written and sent into the ether - that deserves a hurrah!

My hope for this blog series is that I bring spirituality and the mystic to life. I also hope that even in the busyness of your everyday experience you can carve out a smidge of time for yourself and sink into this love note.

With that in mind let's talk about awakening, you can take heart my dear friend that enlightenment is not so much an out-of-body-experience these days, we no longer need to sit for six months in a cave high on a mountain top for waiting for the big awakening and the earth shattering epiphany to occur - and what's more we don't have that luxury (at least I don't that's for sure!) we are asked to integrate our lessons and the themes we are working with at break-neck speed and unlike days of yore these things happen now WITHIN our everyday experiences, when we are deep in the murk and muck, when we are walking in nature, in the shower, cooking supper and when we are cuddling our loved ones.

So let's talk more about awakening to our true Divine Self-Expression - after all that is what we are here for, I like to call it the great reconnection.

I have an invitation for you - can you let all those thoughts that are keeping you from the Truth of who you are simply melt away? Even for just a minute, and with each breath in and each breath out, are you able to gently loosen the grip about who you believe you "should" be and allow a little space to open to the possibility that you are far more expansive and limitless than you have ever imagined?

There is a line in A Course In Miracles that reads; 'Why wait for Heaven? Those who seek the light are merely covering their eyes. The light is in them now. Enlightenment is but a recognition, not a change at all' L188 P.1 L1-4

What you are seeking is already with you, that cave I mentioned above to find "it" is surplus to requirement. You can find and reconnect with what resides within you, the Truth of who you are, simply by being open and receptive to seeing yourself differently, to allow for a shift in perception.

This for me is what my life's purpose is about - reconnecting myself with the truth of who I am (by the way this is a constant reminding, I'll explain why below!). But that is just one side of the coin, the other side is helping you to reconnect with the truth of who you are - and that sums up my work here at Divine Soul.

This IS what I am here for and I've been doing this for many, many lives.

Yet, as I eluded to above, staying connected is a constant reminding. I "forget", I get wrapped up in societal conditioning, in familial traits, in my own psychology.

Am I better at this now in comparison to five years ago? Yes absolutely! Do I still forget? Yes absolutely! I am human after all, and part of our humanness is to experience ourselves as such. We are complex, multifaceted beings and it is incredibly important to call ourselves out when we are not living in our Truth. To have that conversation with ourselves that says: "Oh look what I did there, I literally forgot my Divine Essence - again, and you know what - I still love myself and now I've remembered so off I go again with love in my heart and happily residing in the Truth"

It really is that easy! However (and this is the really important part...) your egocentric self will try and convince you that you're rubbish, it's all nonsense and why the hell bother anyway, it's not like you're going to ever "get it". If that happens then the invitation is to call yourself out louder. Your true Self with the big 'S' is much stronger, more resilient, more powerful, more wisdom based than that little 's' self will ever believe possible - and yet, you need to believe it.

So together our work is to side-step the little 's' self and step into the big 'S' self. This isn't about being reckless (we need to remember the little 's' self has a role to keep us safe after all) but it is about recognising when we are playing it small, reverting to our old ways of being - which limits our expansive - expressionate true nature.

And we do this as gently as possible, firstly with my Discover Your Divinity session, removing blocks to the truth of who you are and then through my Harness Your Divinity sessions.

I'm going to leave you with a last quote form A Course In Miracles: 'The light came with you from your native home, and stayed with you because it is your own. It is the only thing you bring with you from Him Who is your Source. It shines in you because it lights your home, and leads you back to where it came from and you are at home. This light can not be lost.'
